2000 Penn PUD Modification
In May 2018, the George Washington University entered into a ground lease with a ground lessee for 2000 Pennsylvania Avenue. The ground lessee entity is comprised of Westbrook Partners, a real estate investment company and MRP Realty, a DC-based real estate company, which will be the owners and operators of the building subject to the ground lease. While the approximately 400,000-square-foot building will continue to be operated as a commercial mixed-use building, the new ownership is pursuing a PUD modification to upgrade portions the building’s façade, modernize and upgrade the building’s entrances, add a new building entrance from 21st Street, reconfigure interior space including the retail galleria, and reconfigure the loading dock. (NOTE: Although not technically a GW submission, this zoning filing is being shared here since it relates to a GW owned property in the Foggy Bottom/West End neighborhood).
